Cactus flowering by rock garden

This cactus is naturally affiliated with our rock garden and is kind of like our mascot, showing us the way to resilience in the face of drought and water stress!  We wish to take note of this flowering time and see if it gives us any indication of how nature is responding to the season in terms of temperatures, precipitation, and background climate change.  As the years go on, we can refer to this posting for comparisons…
