Crops emerging in the rock garden

Many of our crops are emerging in the rock garden.  Much maize, beans, and some squash are out.  So are the garbanzos.  We haven’t seen any amaranth yet.  The weeds are coming in as well, but it looks like everything is going well.  It will be interesting to see how this white corn does next to its sisters in the flood irrigated plot, especially as the acequia waters run out…
