First peas at Parr field


Here are the peas, or alberjon, forming and flowering.  These plants suffered some as they were planted later than usual and did not get sufficient water at the beginning.  Nevertheless, they are producing nicely to where we will get a nice snack next time we come out!  I don’t think we planted enough to tie into the school system lunch program, but this is a nice treat for visitors to the garden to be able to have a sample…
