A Thanksgiving to remember


Today we arrived at school in anticipation of opening the horno to have a Thanksgiving feast.  In opening the horno, we found our turkeys cooked to perfection and took them inside to prepare for serving.



Other foods were made including salad, homemade bread, stuffing, mashed and roasted potatoes, chile, ham, and other delectable dishes…


Orion Cervio, head teacher at Chrysalis, addresses the students and guests about how thankful he is about the meal we are about to have, a meal he says has the power and nutrition to alter our DNA…



One of the highlight dishes for me was this green bean casserole that was made from our blanched and frozen purple green beans harvested from Parr Field earlier on in the season…


Thank you to everyone who helped out to make our celebration a success!!
