Transplanting in the Grow Dome

IMG_1782

We’ve been getting crops going in our Grow Dome, so far we have planted gourds, watermelon, cucumbers, chile, asparagus, cotton, and some others.  We still have some lettuce, cabbage, chard, and kale growing from last year!  Today we decided not to have the cucumbers in pots but to just give them a home in our soil.  We are hoping to trellis these cukes along with some peas that are growing right now as well…

We are gearing up to clear out areas in the Grow Dome and do more intensive plantings, but we had been waiting for the soil to thaw outside so we can load it up in a truck and bring it over…
