AIRE congratulates the Chrysalis Class of 2013

20130526-142128.jpgAs the growing season gets going, another cycle comes to a close.  We are honored to have gotten to know and work with the Chrysalis Alternative School graduating class of 2013.  Pictured from left to right are David Branchal, Desirae Gonzales, Jesyka Ortega, and Destiny Trujillo.  All of these students have proven their worth as stewards of the land and water to various degrees.  David was always ready to help with our hands-on projects by fixing or figuring out tools while being an instrumental part of our chicos-making processes in 2012.  Desirae and Jesyka have been student participants in our agriculture programs since the beginning and have spent hours upon hours cleaning acequias, planting, irrigating, weeding, harvesting, and processing the harvest.  And Destiny has also been instrumental in the success of our program by participating with enthusiasm when the time came to integrate our programs into the curriculum.  We look forward to working with these students into the future in anticipation of all the great things they will accomplish!
